Not really a whole lot to say about the passing of the ninth anniversary of September 11th. I think Greenwald’s point from a day earlier pretty much gets at how I feel about the whole thing. I’d also refer to what Digby said: “the dissonance and up-is-downism that was introduced in those early days brought us to the place we are today“. I had hoped that Obama would return some sense of predictable causality to the Presidency and the country (imagine a world where people actually get held accountable for wrecking the economy and ruining lives), but frankly, I’m still hoping. We soldier on.
